Returning from Bridlington, 20304 and 301 have just passed underneath Beverley Southern Bypass at 15:38 on 8th Oct.

20301 and 20304 were brought to a stand in the perfect spot at Brigg Road, Scunthorpe, at 11:59 9th October.

20301 and 304 approach Beverley Northern Bypass at 15:52 on Monday 13th October. Increadibly lucky with the light on this one - when the train was at the crossing most of the shot was in shadow.

31296 leads 31288 and the 6M63 Saltend - Toton acetic acid tanks through Hessle on the 28th August 1984. 31's were never common on this traffic, but at the time I was probably disapointed (hoping for a 40), so it's a wonder that I bothered to press the shutter.

Whilst many find B.R. Blue a boring livery, I grew up with it, so don't hold the same opinion. I was over the moon when I copped for 31434 leading 31166 with the 7H19 1546 Penmaenmawr - Guide Bridge ballast, on my one and only visit to the footbridge at Mostyn, 31st May 1996.

31427 approaches Hessle on 14th May 1984, with the 2k11 17:46 Hull - Leeds.

An artistic accident ? - Inexperience brought about this atmospheric shot of 31264 passing Hessle during the late afternoon of 21st March 1984, with a train of presflows from the Blue Circle cement works at Melton. I had only just got my first 35mm camera (Fujica STX-1N), and didn't worry about such things as where the sun was etc. Luckily on this occasion it was diffused somewhat by the footbridge.

31411 stands at Hull Paragon with what is thought to be a working to Bridlington, at 10:40 on Saturday 9th June 1984. Unfortunately I never kept much in the way of records at this time, and a lot of detective work is involved in coming up with a date, let alone train details!

I very rarely managed to get to Botanic Gardens when the sun was out and at the correct angle, so this shot of 31235 on the 10th November 1984 stands out as one of my better efforts.

31271 pases Denaby on 9th September 1993, with what is though to be a Mountsorell - Doncaster working.

31233 passes through the out-skirts of Hull just South of Cottingham at 0854 on Tuesday 12th May 2009, with a Doncaster - Doncaster trip via Scarborough, Hull, Leeds, Harrogate and York.

20302 & 20303 pass Brickyard Lane, Melton at aprox 10:30 on Monday 18th February 2002, with the 6Z48 05:57 Carlisle - Hull King George Dock low level radio-active waste containers.

20302 & 20303 arrive on 10 Quay, HUll King George Dock, with the 6Z48 0557 from Carlisle, at 12:40 on 18th February 2002.

20313 & 20312 approach Seaton Snook Jnc at 10:56 on the 24th July 2006 with the 6e44 Carlisle - Seaton On Tees Flasks.

Late afternoon sunlight glints off 31's 156 & 154 as they unload the daily train fom Rylstone on the afternoon of the 7th March 1989.

25306 passes through Crewe in fading light on Friday 1st June 1984, hense the panned shot - fom memory, I think I was down to a 15th/sec and the results are far fom great, however I have few shots of 25's in service!

31324 departs York Dringhouses with a South-bound Speedlink working on the afternoon of May 27th 1986.

31407 stands at York at aprox 16:00 on a freezing 12th January 1985, with a service to Scarborough.

31436 & 31170 arrive at Hull Dairycoates on the afternoon of 27th July 1989, with the daily limestone hoppers from Rylstone. Note the steam locomotive boilers behind the train, which were the property of the presevation group that occupied the remains of the former Dairycoates shed at the time.
