37708 passes Boothferry Park, on the former Hull and Barnsley Railway high level line, which forms the branch from Hull Docks, at 16:40 on 9th April 1997, with 6G39 a special steel working to Doncaster. This was in the days before Enterprise, and any occasional traffic from Hull docks was worked by special arangement, on an as required basis.

37372 and 131 arrive at Hull Dairycoates, with a late running 6d03 04:00 from Rylstone, at 08:40 on 23rd May 1997. I was lucky with this one as I was on my way out of town, on the A63, when I saw it pass through Hessle, so a quick turn round and race back was required. In the background, 37719 can just be made out crossing over the Tilcon branch, with 6V14.

My only slide of this train. July 8th 1997, and 37194 passed Althorpe with the 5Z57 07:05 Holyhead - Humber coke empties, running well out of step for some reason!

The traction motors oof 37708 blow up dust as it crosses the crossing at Saltend Reception Sidings, with the 6E39 Acetic Acid tanks from Mostyn. 15:40 9th April 1997.

10 Quay, Hull King George Dock is the location for this study of 37415 and 37410, as they wait to leve with part of the consist for the Enterprise to Doncaster on Friday 14th March 2003.

37114 and 37051 approach Southcoates Lane, Hull, shortly after departure from Hull King George Dock, at 14:30 on Tuesday 9th September 2003, with the 6D54 13:47 Enterprise service to Doncaster.

Ah the Rugby coals! For a short period beginning in April 1998, a (at least) fortnightly coal service ran to Rugby, which was renound for producing outstanding traction. Thursday the 4th June 1998 was no exception when 37892 was recorded entering Hull Coal Terminal at 09:05, with the 6Z83 empty MEAs from Washford Heath. Very few 56's made their way onto these workings, with 37s and 47s being the norm (untill the sheads took over that is!)

37146 & 37069 approach Anlaby Curve from the direction of Bridlington, at 11:45 on Sunday 10th January 1999. Running as 7T72 to Doncaster, this lengthy ballast working had been employed between Cottingham Nth and Driffield the previous evening.

I was on my way out of town on Wednesday 10th March 1999, when completely by surprise, I passed 37516 heading towards the dock on this train! - a quick turn around was the order of the day, to find that the train had ran from Toton as 6Z77 to Hull Coal Terminal, to be loaded with a one off load of Pumiss for Allington (6Z78). The empty hoppers are seen entering the coal terminal at 15:25, in what was to be the only sunny shot of the day. What we would give for such a stroke of luck these days!

37689 acts as a super shunter, whilst standing in for the usual pilot, whilst shunting coil carriers at Hull Steel terminal on Fri 11th February 2000.

37799 sets back across the Junction at Gilberdyke with a lengthy rake of Dogfish ballast hoppers at 11:00 on Sunday 19th March 2000. The train (8T56 from Doncaster) was required at Crabley Creek, and a number of complex manouvers took place including wrong line working before arrival at its destination.

37799 waits at Broomfleet, having ran round, at 12:30 on Sunday 19th March 2000, with the 8T56 Doncater - Crabley Creek ballast hoppers. The train would work wrong line to the possession.

37428 stands at Thwait Street L.C., Cottingham, at 14:00 on Sunday 18th March 2001, with the 8T61 20:00 to Doncaster.

37415 & 37410 Storm through Ferriby Cutting with the 6D54 14:36 Hull - Doncaster Enterprise, at 14:40 on 14th March 2003. The band new boxes had been constructed localy for the M.O.D.

37688 brings rails for Castleton (6Z96 18:06) off 10 Quay, Hull King George dock, at 12:15 on the 11th September 2003.

37899 had rescued 37713 and 6V14 Hull Saltend - Baglan Bay acetic acid tanks, when Photted at Welton on 20th Jan 1999.

In atmospheric light, 37708 passes Lowfeild lane, Melton, at 11:50 on Thursday 22nd January 1999, with the 6Z93 11:25 Hull - Rugby.

On the 4th February 1999, 37796 and 37711 stand in Hull Coal Terminal with the 6Z93 12:45 To Ketton. I stood for almost an hour waiting for a small hole to break in the clouds, but was eventually rewarded with this cracker of a shot.

Mainline blue liveried 37372 stands on possession at Gilberdyke, at 10:30 on Sunday 7th February 1999,with the 7T55 To Doncaster comprising of Salmon's loaded with recovered track panels.

37372 passes Gilberdyke at 11:20 on Sunday 7th February 1999, with the 7t55 to Doncaster.

37042 stands at Hull Paragon at 20:35 on Tuesday 16th February 1999, with the 5Z92 ECS to Doncaster. The train had worked a circular tour of Yorkshire with a Black 5.

37058 sets back into Croxton & Garry,Lowfield Lane, Melton, at 14:15 on Thussday 1st April 1999. The wagons were conveyed in the daily enterprise service to Hull, and then set down on the outward 6D54 13:56 Hull - Doncster.

37248 passes the EWS Train Office, Hull King George Dock, at 11:56 on the 29th April 1999, with the 6D54 08:47 Enterprise from Doncater. During this period, it was often the case that cracking Traction would turn up on this train, but the loadings were somewhat less than desirable.

37193 stands in Hessle Speedlink Yard, at aprox 14:00 on the 18th February 1985, with stock for the daily Speedlink trip to York Dringhouses. The planked open wagons which can be seen in the yard, are air braked ferry wagons which had been in use on Whiting traffic from Beverley.

37041 rests with 08248 at Hull, Botanic Gardens on the 24th February 1985. Going from my records, this loco spent a lot of time on shed at BG during this period.

37381 & 37377 take the slow line through Barnetby at aprox 10:00 on the 16th March 1990 with a Santon - Immingham empty Iron Ore.

37610 and 37609 top and tail 6C66 05:57 Carlisle - Hull King George Dock containerised low level radio-active waste, seen passing Ferriby on the 15th August 2005.

37058 Sets down empty Calcium Carbonate tanks at Croxton & Gary's Melton works, at 14:17 on the 1st April 1999. The tanks had worked in on the daily Doncater enterprise, being taken to Hull docks, before being set down on the outward working.
